TI Timer (“we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy. This policy describes how we handle information when you use the TI Timer iOS app.
Summary
TI Timer does not require an account with us. Game data, player names, timers, stats, and voice announcements are stored on your device. Optional iCloud backup syncs your data through your Apple ID. We do not sell your personal information.
Information stored on your device
When you use TI Timer, the app stores data locally to run your games, including:
- Player names, colors, and saved player library entries
- Turn, round, and pause timing records
- Game statistics, rankings, and history
- TI4-specific game state (strategy cards, initiative, trade goods, passes, and related session data)
- Recorded or AI-generated player announcement audio
This data is used only to provide app functionality on your device.
iCloud backup
If you enable iCloud for TI Timer, your players and game history may be backed up and synced through Apple’s iCloud service, subject to Apple’s privacy policy and your iCloud settings. We do not operate a separate cloud server for this backup.
AI-generated voices
If you choose to generate player announcements with AI, the text you provide (such as a player name) may be processed by system or third-party speech services provided through iOS to create audio. We do not use that content for advertising.
Information we collect from you directly
If you contact us for support, we receive the information you choose to send (such as your email address, message content, and any screenshots or logs you attach). We use that information only to respond and improve the app.
What we do not do
- We do not require you to create a TI Timer account.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not use your game data for targeted advertising.
If we add analytics or other third-party services in the future, this policy will be updated before they are enabled.
Children
TI Timer is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the latest version.
